jasons_photos_057.jpgI painted a Metrocard for a group exhibition at Sloan Fine Art Gallery in the Lower East Side (Image of my MetroCard is posted below).  This is the second MetroCard show.  The first MetroCard show was organized by Jean-Pierre Roy and Michael Kagan at their studio in Williamsburg and got quite a bit of attention.  Now JP Roy and Michael have joined up with Alix Sloan.  The cards will go for 100 and a portion of the proceeds are to benefit Transportation Alternatives and Alliance for the Arts.  I have seen some great pieces already posted on facebook so you may want to get there early if you are interested in taking home some art.

Opening Reception: Thursday, March 17th, from 5 to 9 pm
Exhibition: Friday, March 18 through Saturday, March 26, 2011
Gallery Hours: Noon to 6pm (Closed Monday & Tuesday)

Group Show Curated by Thomas Germano

GLAAD OUT Auction 2010

GLAAD OUTAuction 2010 this year was a great success.  With over 350 artists submitting art I was lucky to get in.  The night of the event I found out that I was the recipient of the award for GLAADS top emerging artist award in the mixed media category.  Tons of people were there this year including one of my favourite photographers David Lachapelle, who gave a great speech.  Andrew Lewis came with me to the event.
